In many countries, under-aged students are allowed to work part time to earn their allowances. Although student's job was only studying, nowadays, this prevalent view is being challenged. I belive, teenagers should not be allowed to do part-time job because they should rather concentrate on their studies and it is dangerous for them to work nightshifts.
First, students should focus on their studies for their better futures. Society is strict in judging a person by his or her university degrees. In order to be accepted in a good position when out in the society, it is best to enter good college. To illustrate, last year, my cousin was accepted to one of the top-ten universities in my nation. Due to his college's reputation, it was easy for him to get an intern at a big corporation and to find a decent job. He was granted with many opportunities and is now a earning high salary in a Google Company. Had it not been for his effort in his high school years, he would not have enjoyed this stable job.
Second, it is highly unsafe for teenagers to take part-time job. Most of them work night-shifts because they need to go to school during the day. Working at night poses much danger to young adults, which should be avoided. To illustrate, one of my friends worked at a conveinient store at night to earn her allowances. Although she was fifteen at the time, she was able to work there because of her matured look. Unlike what she had expected, this job was very dangerous for her. At night, many strangers half drunk came in and bought cigrattes and beers. They even commented on her appearance, telling her that she is pretty. She was scared and wanted to run away. Finally, she quitted working there in a week and decided to concentrate on her studies.
In conclusion, teenagers should avoid working part time for two reasons. They should be putting all their efforts in studying to enter good colleges and should not put themselves in a danger by working night shifts. Young adults have the potential to create a better society and should devote this period to studying hard.
