There might be many ideas to support reading fictional books. However I think to real life books are better for several reasons. Firstly, I can be encouraged by real people than fictional people. Secondly, fictional books might be bad to students.
To begin with, whenever I read real life books, I am eager to do my study. To be specific, when I was in middle school, I didn't have a dream and I was a ordinary person getting normal grades. However after I read a autobiography written by a student who entered the Seoul National University, best university in Korea. I dreamt to enter the Seoul National University because he inspired me. For example he wrote that you can do more things than what you are doing. After I read his book, I decided to study 4 hours a day excluding school homeworks. And I used to read other autobiographies to be inspired by their ideas and notions. In the end, I entered that school.
In addition, when I was young, I liked to read fictional comic books. These books was crucial because these usually fight with and kill people. At that time, because I was young, I just felt fun. But now I can judge that that kinds of books are harmful and dangerous for younger students and teenagers because they might imitate or emulate the bad stories.
Because I can be encouraged by real life books and fictional books might be bad, I think to read real life books are better than fictional books. |
