Human being lives interacting each other. Thus, to build one's social network does pivotal role in one's life. This is because circumference people influence on child's success a lot. In this respect, some people think that friends have bigger effects on children than their parents does. In my opinion, however, parents play the most significant role in their success than any other factor for two reasons; not only can parents spend much time with their junior but also they have a lot of experiences.
First of all, parents spend a tremendous amount of time than any other person with their offsprings. Accordingly, juveniles are inclined to mimic thier parents behavior and one's sense of value. Let me give one example of my two friends. One of my friend has grown up under good environment and nice parents. On the other hand, the other friend has grown up under violent parents. Not surprisingly, a former friend become responsible adult while a latter friend now become troublemaker. This shows how important the roles of parents who spend large amount of time are.
On top of that, parents have more experiences. Since they already undergo many circumstances, the know exactly how to face with certain problems. That means parents can give wise advice when they are in trouble. Through their parents' counsel, they can take a step forward to be independent adults. This is because they can fix their bad habits as well as improve their thinking power. Compared with this, friends often gives incorrect information and wrong suggestion due to the lack of experiences.
I belive that the parents' role to educate children is the most weighty elements in child's success. Of course, their friends can not be blocked out of their success. However, I strongly argue that the parents are far momentous than friends for two above reasons. This includes that they spend a lot of time together and also parents can help them to cope with their problem using their abundant knowledge and experiences. |
