Korean society tends to worship certain careers with awe and respect while it looks down on specific jobs that are seen as less important work. This notion is not acceptable anymore, and thus I disagree that taking the most challenging courses in college or university is better choice considering all practical and psychological aspects of this issue.
First of all, students should not be frustrated about such difficult classes since they do not it's not necessary for all the students to take those classes. Each student has a specific field of studies that they she/he can excel. Students can succeed in fields they specialize and excel at. This is why students major in certain areas of studies such as literature and biology which means they can become more successful in that area in the future. According to Seoul National University, it is demonstrated that students those who studied their major subjects exclusively , performed much better at in their areas than those who studied more various subjects.
In addition, forcing students to learn subjects that they are not familiar with can be stress students out as they would have difficult time understanding them.it would be more difficult to understand those materials. On the contrary, letting them focus on their own study( the fields they are interested in) can bring more satisfaction and a feeling of accomplishment. It is widely held that one is likely to be consent with what he/she does if the decision were made by oneself. People do their best with interest and responsibility if their decisions are all upto themselves. < 이런말을 할려고 하신건지;;
(문장단어순서바꿔서) According to one of newspaper press in Korea, Chosun, an article in the education section says that teachers and parents are advised to recommend students to apply for college and university according to their studnets' own intersest. This article says more than 40% of college students regret about their decisions, not following their own will but followed what the society demanded to them.
In conclusion, as explained above, students should not be taking take classes that are too difficult for them necessaril. Given practical and psychological benefits of concentrating on their own study, it is only rational that they people do should not waste their energy on challenging subjects indeed. |
