Some
people think that teachers should give students homework every day. However, in
my opinion, it is better to do assignments not every day. This is because
students can spend their time on other
activities and it can improve their quality of life
live.
First
of all, doing other activities can make students to release stress. Having the
outlet of stress has a meaning in itself since it helps one regain energy and
find the strength to go on. People nowadays have pressure not only physically
but also mentally. It will help people get back on track after playing soccer
with their friends or running around track. To be specific, when I was in high
school, there were two types of teachers. One was Mr.Kim who gave students
daily handouts, and the other one was Mrs. Lee who never gave students
homework. Students who were in Mr. Kim’s class only built gain resistance against him, because of
daily homework. Therefore, they did not do their homework and avoided that class. In contrast, Mrs. Lee’s
class students could release were outlet
their stress after the class by playing basketball and playing soccer. Thus,
they did do not have to avoid her class.
After the final, the outcome was surprising. The average score in Mr.Kim’s class was 65, and on the other
hand, the average score of class of Mrs.Lee’s was 75.
On
top of that, students can create good human relationship instead of doing their
daily homework. The meaning of success has completely changed compared to the
past. If it was merely focusing on one’s own way and
excelling others, now it is different. Along with your own ability, it is
crucial to be recognized by others and have followers. In this case, making
good friends can be helpful. For example, when I was in exchange student
program I met a Japanese friend who was in same major. We usually hung out and
studied together. Time went goes by, and
we became the best friends. After the exchange
student program, I told e my Japanese
friend that I was planning to travel Japan. He told said
me that he will be my guide and I can stay in his place while I am traveling. If I had to spend my spare time doing assignments, I would
not have had a chance to create such a nice friendship. How nice he
is! Thus, I traveled with him and it was my best trip ever.
To sum up, doing homework daily could disturb
students’ other activities. Moreover, it is not helpful
for making their human relationship. In this regard, I firmly disagree with not support the idea of daily
homework assignments.
