184. Some students prefer to study alone. Others prefer to study with a group of students. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. |
There are different ways to study from people to people. Some people may say that studying by themselves enables them to enhance their learning efficiency. This is mainly because they can study even at the middle of night if they want to do. However, in my opinion, studying with others is far more beneficial in terms of developing social skills and making study easier.
First of all, we can expect to socialize ourselves through the interaction with other students. In other words, it makes us to develop a sense of responsibility and cooperation. For example, when we join or make a group of study, we should distribute some amount of their work to do. Each member of group has to fulfill his own duty, which makes all members be able to continue our study. In addition, we can learn how to make a compromise. We have to make our rules such as what, where, and how to study and discuss our different points of view. For this, we need to accept the fact that diverse opinions can exist and should be respected. In this regard, students need group interaction to learn to work together as a group, which is essential to become a sound member in a bigger group, society.
Moreover, studying on team allows students to study more effectively. To be specific, the members share their information that they know or gain. If, for instance, I have to read a book made up 500 pages by tomorrow, I would divide this assignment with four friends. We respectively read 100 pages of the book, and then talk about it with one another. It leads us to finish it quicker. Students, furthermore, can meet their insufficient parts of their learning process. They, to illustrate, can ask some questions about their academic study for others in their group. One of them, who knows better, teaches it to the others, and they could debate about his answer. A single student can do his work alone, Of course, but how much does he have to spend time and to make effort to obtain such materials? In this sense, group study makes students to save their time and sweat more than alone.
