Undoubtedly,
doing an important presentation well at work or school plays a significant role
in people’s daily lives to get promoted at work or to get a higher grade in
school. Some people may think that working on an
assigned important presentation right away and doing it a little bit every day
is better while others prefer to wait until they have a good idea. Both of them
might have reasons to support their own views. If I had to choose one, I would
say preparing a presentation as soon as I’m assigned it
is a better choice.
To begin with, if I
prepare for an assignment every day in advance, I can improve a my sense of responsibility. Doing work every day for a
project requires a lot of obligations such as managing time, abiding by rules
and being diligent. When these personal traits are well developed, it’s likely
to bring a better result academically as well as professionally. For example,
my brother used to be selfish and lazy. However, he has changed a little by
little after he has done started doing his
assignment from his class well. He was assigned to do a
presentation about a way to be a loved son at
home. He spent an hour every day searching for information online and seeking
for advice from parents. To be specific, he cleaned up his room every day and
washed dishes as parents told him to prove his idea. As a result, he won the
presentation at school, and thus everyone around him started to respect him
allowing him to be responsible, optimistic and strong. If he had waited until a
good was coming up, he would have fallen behind.
In addition,
preparing in advance tends to bring about a
better result. When people are sufficiently prepared, they are likely to be
confident about themselves. Confidence enables them to generate more energy to
put into their work or being active. For example, Tokyo university found a huge
difference between two groups of young adults from an experiment. Two groups
were assigned to a project that they had to come
up with the best solution to conserve the environment for a month. The first
group spent an hour every day to search for
useful information and the second group didn’t. The researchers found that the
solutions from the former were more practical and thorough. On the other hand,
ideas from the second group were vague and some members
of the second group even had no idea. This implies that sufficient preparation
is the key to success.
All things considered, I strongly believe that
preparing for a big project on a daily basis is the
better way to a great performance for the reasons I have mentioned above. All
in all, the importance of daily preparations cannot be overestimated in life.
