Beauty “Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” By Kahlil Gibran The English oxford dictionary describes beauty as the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest). However, many people think otherwise, they think that beauty is related to the physical appearance of a person, animal or object. In my opinion people have forgotten what beauty means. Since the invention of television people have started getting different concepts of beauty. Since then celebrities needed to look good, in other words to look “beautiful” but what does beautiful mean? What makes someone more beautiful than others? How do you know that someone is beautiful? My answer is that no one know what is indeed beautiful, an example is that many people think that hummingbirds are beautiful but in my opinion they are really ugly. Why? Maybe because their body is too big compared to their wings; they look more like insects to me than birds. Everyone has different ideas and tastes. Watching television, people started to ask, to complain and to need to see prettier people. In In conclusion everyone is beautiful because true beauty doesn’t come from what your eyes see but from what you feel, beauty comes from the inside of the soul.
