▶ Your Answer :
Various opinions may exist over the issue that taking a lot of time when making an important decision is a good quality. As far as I am concerned, I am in complete disagreement with this argument. The two ideas below can be valid evidence to support my view.
First of all, spending lots of time on making a significant choice is not a good quality because focusing only on one matter does not always lead to the (a) great result. Rather, in the long run, people cannot but miss chances to think widely and cope with numerous issues. Also, many people nowadays suffer physically and mentally from tight schedules and highly competitive environments. In this situation, taking too much time to make just one decision would have negative impacts on other works. It would lead people to be more weary. Thus, people are encouraged to spending (spend) appropriate amounts of time on making an important decision. For instance, according to a recent study conducted by the Seoul National University of Korea, when making a decision, people who take less time is (are) more likely to achieve their goals. The reason is that even though time goes by, people do not think deeply or broadly about topics, which does not always have positive effects on the results. This study shows that taking too much time and efforts is not beneficial at all times.
In addition, taking lots of time on coping with just one issue is not a good quality. This is because due to the advancement of technology, especially the Internet, people can more easily and quickly deal with various issues than ever before. To be more specific, when society was underdeveloped, many people had to spend tremendous amounts of time and efforts on finding information and knowledge. However, as technology iscoming closer and closer (OR: becoming more and more accessible), finding information and knowledge that they need is so much easier and faster. Therefore, concentrating only on one task is time-consuming. People become weary, so this can lead to a bad result. From my experience, I remembered (remember) a couple of months ago. (,) I had a presentation in my science class. At that time, I spent most of my days preparing for the presentation because it connected to the score. I went to diverse libraries to gain resources and read through countless books for the presentation. However, after that I obtained(OR: got) not(X) a good(low) grade since I missed (the) chances to think broadly about the topic while focusing only (in) one point. This experience demonstrates that my assertion is compelling.
To sum up, I believe that investing lots of time when deciding one’s(one) significant issue is a bad quality because it does not always result in a good result(one).
