Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. |
Traveling is always exciting to people to experience new world. Some people prefer to travel in a group with a tour guide. Traveling with guide is easier to find places because people are not familiar with many new things like traffic sign, map, road, and etc. However, I disagree that a group travel with a tour guide is the best way to travel because people can not have much free time by themselvesand change their schedule, either.
To begin with, people can not have free time and flexible schedules when they travel in a group with tour guide. Travel schedules are stricter than that of traveling by alone because people always have to keep the time not to make other group member wait for them. For example, when I traveled to New York with a group, I could not enjoy sight seeing very much because I always try not to leave alone from a group even though “Time Square” that I really wanted to spend more time to see. Also when people travel with a tour guide, people always listen to “Move” from a shouting tour guide.
In addition, when grouped people move from a place to another place it takes usually more time than that of moving alone and people also waste a lot of time to wait for other people. Group traveling always happen to lose some group members. For example, when I traveled to Hollywood in a group some members were out of group, we lost them in the morning in “Universal Studio” and we spent 2 hours to find them and wait for them without doing anything. We wasted 2 hours just sitting in a café.
To sum up, I disagree traveling in a group led by a tour guide is the best way because people should waste a lot of time to wait other group member and people always keep the schedule not to leave them alone. By the way, if people travel a place that is really unfamiliar and new for them, a group tour with a tour guide can be easier to travel and to look around at a glance. |
