Reading books about real events or people is more beneficial than reading fictional stories and novels. |
Some people think reading books about real events or people advantage readers than fictions. However, I firmly disagree with this idea because the fictional stories develops reader's imagination as they read them. Also, it makes them to more relax as they focus on the story.
To start with, reading fictional stories bestows creativity to readers. As authors often use literary terms, such as a metaphor, simile, and imagery, it helps readers to imagine what authors write in the story. In addition, Harry Potter series, the fantasy novels, have storyline about magical world and school, which is absolutely impossible to have in real world. Reading these series makes people, especially children, to have a good imagination. For instance, my neighbors, who were only in elementary school, read this book, and they often dreamed about becoming witches and wizards in the future. They became creative at making stories that relate to magic. As children read fantasy, it supports to them to express their dreams with a full of imagination.
Readers may calm themselves as they read fictional stories. While they concentrate on reading interesting stories, it renders them to forget about their anxieties and realties. On the contrary, nonfictional stories make them to remind and realize the realities as they easily hurt people. For example, when I read book called Night, which is autobiography of author and nonfiction story about holocaust, abundant of Jewish people's death makes me to feel a pity as it gives me a pain of realizing the cruelity of SS and human. I could not stop weeping while I read this book. Therefore, true events are not always helpful to reader.
Overall, reading fictions gives creativity to readers and render them to forget about worries. I strongly believe reading fictional novels has more benefits than reading nonfiction. Thus, I recommend to access to fictions to people in the world.
