20 years from now, students will not study with printed books. Do you agree or disagree? |
As time goes by, our society is getting more advanced than days in the past years. Some people may like to take an adventage of using future's scientic inventions to help for them to study, while others insist to use printed books. I agree with the second opinion in which studying with printed books helps students not only to maintain a healthy condition of their eye sights but also to highly concentrate on academic materials.
To begin with, when it comes to protecting a student's eye sight from becoming unclear, studying with printed books is a better method than studying with other alternative ways. If a student learns with computers or other ways through no printed books, he or she will likely lose his or her good eye sight to compare with one who studies with printed books. Keeping a clear eye sight fulfills a vital role in a student's life. Those who are especially younger ages should maintain a decent eye sight for their lastest years of lives. For example, my brother used to prefer to study with computer and even MP3 players. He collected academic information from an Internet web-sit and reviewed school subjects by listening MP3 players. He lost a capability of not only seeing but also listening. Hence, studying with printed books helps students to maintain a healthy condition of their eye sights.
In addition, studying with printed books also helps students to highly concentrate on learning subjects. Although some people may argue about no difference between printed books and other ways, looking at letters in a piece of paper will provide a better condition for people to concentrate. Mr. Jun-Sik Kim at Yonsei University in South Korea had an experiment to determine a student's ability of concentrating in different conditions. From Mr. Kim's research, most students highly concentrated in a condition of studying with printed books. When I was at a middle school, my teacher always recommanded to use textbooks as the best learning method. I did not understand her idea about using textbooks until I got into a high school. During the week of final exams, I studied with both TV moniter and printed books. I could sense that I had a better concentration with printed books. Thus, a high concentration can happen if a student studies with printed books.
In addition, studying with printed books will be more beneficial for students than other studying tools. This is because it helps students to maintain a good condition for their eye sights and to highly concentrate on academic materials. |
