▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that to improve quality
of education, universities should spend more money on salaries of university
professors. This opinion would have their explanation and also it might get its
advantages for developting the quality of education. In my opinion, however,
universities do not have to expend money for salaries of university professors
to enhance quality of education.
To begin with, increasing the pay for
university professor does not affact on quality of education. For example, executive
of Korea University increased pay of professor for improving the education quality.
However, research investigated by this university have shown that increased pay
of university professors did not influence to quality of education. 76% of student
witch responded the survey mostly said from the day that pay was raised to this
time, they felt nothing change about quality of lecture. This shows that
increased pay of university professor does not influence to quality of
education.
In addition, instead of paying more for
professor, university should invest to get diverse professor. In other words,
they have to pay for gaining a lot of professor to enhance quality of
education, instead of spending money to already exsisting professor. I give you
an experience from myself. When I was university student, in our depertment, there
were only a few professors. Hence, even the classes were different, student
usually encountered same professor that already met in other class. It was
important problem that degraded quality of education because if students
studied from only a few professors, it would make views of students restricted.
In conclude, I disagree that to improve
quality of education, university have to increase pay of university professors.
First, increased pay does not directly related to quality of professor’s
lectures. Second, if university have money to improve quality of education,
spending it for getting other professors is more effective. Various point of views
of varied professors is more likely to increase quality of education than reinforce
already exsisting professors.
