▶ Your Answer : It is of great worth to discuss whether or not being happy with
one’s job is a lot better than gaining a high salary. The answers to this
question can vary depending on each individual’s perspective. As far as I am
concerned, I disagree with the given statement. There are two following
reasons.
First of all, money can allow people to live happy lives. This is
mainly because under a pure capitalistic system, money has power that enable
people to do what they want. Without sufficient incomes, people feel less
satisfaction for their lives. The perfect example of this is my uncle who has a
low-paying job. He could not afford the money to buy what he wants such as a
fancy car and a spacious house because of his low income. Also, he was worried
about the costs of living and how to repay loan. If he got a lot of money from
what he was doing, he would not suffer from these things. This indicates that
gaining a high salary is essential for people to live happy lives.
Moreover, people need an adequate amount money to support their old
parents or young children. This is only because as the current price level is
increasing too rapidly, the costs of staple commodities and education expenses
are also increasing. According to the research conducted by KBI, one of the
renowned research centers in South Korea, the researcher found that more than
75% of South Korea workers were worried about paying supporting expenses. The
same study also noted that the majority of the surveyed workers said a high
salary is an important factor to choose their job. This shows that receiving
high salary is significant for people due to not only themselves but also their
family.
To summarize what I mentioned above, I firmly believe that gaining
high salary is more important than being happy with one’s job since money is
necessary for people to live happy lives and to support their family. |
