Games can teach us valuable lessons about life. |
The issue at hand is whether games can teach us invaluable lessons to all of us about our life. This issue is important because many people think game is just a thing for entertainment. People don’t realize that games are actually related to our lives and teach good thjngs. I believe games give priceless teachings about life to people. To begin, when you start the game, the initial thing that you do is to learn how to play the game. Then, you play the game and figure out who win or lose later. This process of playing games can be similar to our life. In our life, we firstly get birth from our mother, learn how to speak or walk, then lastly we can be a successful or unsuccessful person. Do you see the similarity? The process of both our life and game has a same pattern. One of the most important things that we can learn from the games is that there are always winners and losers in the end. Since we know that one of the losers can be I in the future, we will concentrate on our study much better to be one of the successors. In additional, we can learn a variety of things such as consideration, patience and honesty by playing games which are also significant things to learn in our life. In the game, consideration is needed when someone rolls a dice incorrectly or moves somebody else’s piece in mistake. Also, we need patience when we wait for our turns and it requires honesty to play the game without cheating and to play the game following against the strict rules. As I mentioned before all of these qualities are essential in our life too. Without consideration, patience and honesty, it will be very hard to socialize with other people or to live in this harsh and nascent society. Games can give us chance to keep in mind all these features indirectly. To sum up, games give us good lessons that are related to our life. Since the process of the game and the things that we learn from the game is same as what we need in our life, we can say that games are effective. Not only we can have amusement while we play but also get good teachings from it. As the old saying goes, “Killing two birds with one stone.” |
