Do you agree or disagree? The best way to relax and reduce stress is to spend time alone. |
Opinions might be divided over whether the best way to relax and reduce stress is to spend time alone. Personally, I agree with this idea for two reasons. First, plenty of activities are available to reduce stress. Second, hanging with others is able to cause conflicts. I will explain in detail. Above all, there are several good ways to reduce stress alone. Nowadays, thanks to advancements in technology, lots of activities for entertainment are available. And most of those are is more effective as a stress-reliever when we play those alone. Let me take some example of those activities. First of all, we are able to enjoy a variety of movies whenever we want. While watching movies, we are able to turn our mind off and forget anything stressful. Not only that but, there are considerably exciting computer games. Finally, lots of books such as novels and comic books are also beneficial to reduce stress. In this sense, spending time alone is the best way to relieve stress. Secondly, hanging out with others may bring about conflict and stress again. Some people argue that having fun or playing various activities is stress-relieving. However, occasionally, or often, those methods cause new stress and worsen problems. According to a study released by the Korea National Research Center, more than two-third of surveyed salary earner mentioned that they went through emotional conflicts during playing games or hanging out with others. They also responded that they realized as an effort to deal with and reduce stress, spending time with other people is able to worsen the problems and situation. And after their experience, they would like to have stress-relieve time alone. This shows that reducing stress with other people may lead to other problems or worsened results. In conclusion, I think that spending time alone is better than with others as I have mentioned above. First, there are a substantial number of activities for relieving stress. Second, hanging out with others as an effort to reduce stress is able to cause other problems and stress. |
