Studying with a group of students is very helpful when he/she doesn`t know how to study something. Also, it is easier to get a lot of information from each other. However, I prefer to study alone, since I can concentrate on my stuff easily and study whatever, whenever and wherever I want to.
Above all, I can focus on my things more effectively than studying with other students. The more people gather, the more noise can be produced, like chatting with friends and asking some questions with loud voice, and it often prevents me from studying. Last year, I was studying with my friends in college for the final exam. I tried to pour all of my energy into preparing the test, but my friends chatted, and they even went out for some snacks everytime. It was very hard for to study there, so without hesitation, I got out of the classroom and went to my home.
On top of that, I can study anything, anytime, and anywhere when I study alone. In order to study together, we need to set a possible time, a proper place, and same material to study, but those are nearly impossible to be unified. Moreover, it is very easy for a study group to be broken when some members of it do not attend actively. A few months ago, my friends and I made a study group to study English grammar deeper, but we`d never gathered at the same time and at least one of our members were always likely to be absent from group studying for various reasons! After a few weeks later, the team was broken and we`ve never planned to study together since then.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that studying alone is much beneficial than group studying, because of difficulty of concentrating and making satisfied conditions to study. I think self-studying is much better until complicated problems of group studying I mentioned above are not solved.
