▶ Your Answer :
Many people think that they should learn
everything and become who can utilize any skills that others need. Certainly,
becoming good at every part is really enjoyable experience and one can be
satisfied how he could do all of this things. But I can’t agree to this
statement for several reason. I prefer become expert in one area.
First of all, someone who major in specific
area can be easily employed by company. Employers think that they should hire
someone who are really good at particular situation like repairing a computer
or interpreting Chinese and Japanese. They don’t need who are just good at many
parts because he is inferior to expert in required situation. For example, my
brother is expert in Chinese and his friend can speak with others using more
than seven language. In result, my brother achieved his goal to go to Chinese
company but his friend failed.
Second, when it comes to success in
particular part, one should understand the part properly and have a vision that
what he have to do to make higher level and what infrastructure are needed to improve
the industry deal with that section. But if someone study little parts of
everything, he can’t think in this way and it is hard to success. For instance,
professor in my university studied for aerospace elastics more than 30 years
and became a professor in USA. If he had researched for many areas in aerospace
engineering, he couldn’t become expert and achieve his own goal in his life.
To sum up, I think studying little concept
in many parts is almost useless in terms of success. In terms of hobby, it
makes sense but becoming professor or expert is different. In this regard, I
recommend to become expert of specific area and do his best in every moment to
become an expert.
