It is debatable whether since modern people are very busy doing so many different things, they do very few things well. In general, the consensus view seems to be that people should be able to do very a lot of things well in a wide range of fields. In my opinion, however, I strongly believe that it is more important for today’s people to do few things well as a specialist in their fields for the following two subsequent reasons.
First and foremost, people with professional skills have more the power of competition. To be specific, as modern societies have become increasingly competitive, today’s world requires specialists in their fields. Especially when it comes to workplaces, they can be a vital worker in part of the core. Thus, it is clear that experts have more the employment’s opportunities because the CEOs of the current company admit their skills and need skillful employees. For example, I will give an example of my uncle’s story. My uncle’s major is the department of car design. He committed only to study the design of car such as its appearance and interior at college. After graduating from college, he got a lot of scout proposal and entered a company that offered a large amount of money. Hence, this experience proved that a person with skillful ability in a single field is appreciated by companies’ boss and the communities.
In addition, people should concentrate on one skill in order to succeed in the world. To be specific, ambitious people tend to want to be a recorded person in history successfully, leaving outstanding achievement. Furthermore, it is possible for them to devote their time and efforts to one field through profound research and performance as maximizing one’s potential is the best way to achieve success. To illustrate, Walt Disney, who is the founder of the Disney company, was a very successful person. He focused solely on the development of the animation film by investing a great deal with money and time. Modern people will remember him endlessly as the great man in history.
In conclusion, taking increased power of the competition and remarkable accomplishment into consideration, I firmly believe that people should concentrate on very few things well.
