▶ Your Answer : It is critically important for everyone to have some virtues. In my opinion, when it comes to students, two of the most important characters that they should have are tenacity and humility. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explore in the following essay. First and foremost, tenacity is a trait that all students in our generation should possess in order to succeed (success: 명사, succeed: 동사 입니다.) in school. Life always presents us with unexpected challenges and obstacles, meaning that it is impossible to avoid facing, thus we should learn how to deal with difficulties. In other words, if students are tenacious, they will be able to maximize their potential and take advantage of precious opportunities. To illustrate more thoroughly, one of my friends named Jin took 6th grade on HSK, which is the highest level of Chinese certification as a second language, so that she can go to Beijing National University as a exchange student. Jin had a hard time while preparing for the test. As it was her first time to apply for this exam, she registered for an academy and spent most of the day on studying Chinese. Even Jin gave up her summer vacation in order to achieve her goal even though she is the one who always had a trip to abroad on every vacation. Although sometimes she made me a phone call and complained that she gets exhausted and wants to have a break whole day hanging out with friends, she never stopped studying. As a result, after two months of struggling, she made it and could grab an (모음 앞의 관사는 an으로 씁니다.) invaluable opportunity to go to one of the best universities in China to study in. All in all, it is obvious that tenacity is a characteristic that all kids in school should have not to miss valuable chances. On top of this, being humble will also enable students to do much better in school. To be specific, overconfident individuals usually believe that they can accomplish tasks they realistically can’t and thus take numerous unnecessary risks. In addition, modest people have a much easier time getting along with their peers since most individuals dislike being around those who are cocky. My personal experience is compelling example of this. I’ve always been a top student in high school, so even after going the university, I have been full of conceit and used to act dogmatically. One day, I had a group assignment in history class, and I took on a group leader because I thought that there is no one who can lead our project better than me. I allocated certain parts, for example, doing researching all the information (불가산 명사입니다.) related to assignment and making a presentation material to each of group members. I thought that in this way I could reduce complication and make the output better. However, contrary to my thought, students in the same team were against my opinion, and did on their way blaming my dogmatism. As a result, I got a terrible grade on the project. At that time, I looked back my attitude and found out that I was too cocky that I made a huge fault to people. After that, I tried to be humble, respect others opinion, and collaborate favorably with people. As a result, I got to know how to solve difficulties with others wisely and hanged out with people making many good friends. In addition to this, as I worked on every project with others in harmony, my grade got better! Long story short, being humble will allow students in school to not only maintain good relationship but also get better GPAs with more ease. In conclusion, I strongly believe that being patient and being modest are the most important properties for students. This is because tenacity and humility bring great chances for students, and because permit them to be a good students with sociability and better grade. |
