A person is supposed to have a certain kind of job when he/she reaches a certain period of life. There are not only various occupations, but also numerous reasons for holding those jobs. Although having stable source for money is invariably necessary matter for everyone, it is not the sole reason for holding job. There are definitely some other drives that make people work, and main two of them are a desire to become the best in one’s area and contribute to the whole society. First of all, some people ascribe their hard working to their wish to become professional or competent one in their field. Most of the people choose their lifetime jobs in accordance with their taste and the area they like, and the purpose of being higher than other people of the same area is often a powerful motivation for them to keep working and trying diligently. They feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when they outdo other people or become experts, and this incessantly leads them to consistent try. To illustrate, most soccer players behavior according to this drive – they all say that their ultimate goal as a player is to become the best player in the world. Some of them often do not accept the chance to earn a much higher salary than they used to get, because in most cases this demands them to do some other-than-working activities, like being on a TV show or advertisement. They think that these activities deprive them of the hours for practicing. Not only that, there is also someone who wants to dedicate themselves to the improvement of the overall society. They usually set their priority at taking care of the happiness of other people than themselves, so in this case money is not a primary reason why they keep working.
