People are incapable of being satisfied with what they have; they always want what they don't have. |
Now in 21st century, meterialism is omnipresent in this world. People value more on goods than on true joy of their lives like family and friends. So it has been a controversy that whether people are impotant of being gratified with whay they have. I strongly agree with the statement because of fact that the rich wants get richer and the tendency of getting bored educated by parents.
To begin with, I believe the rich always wants to accumulate more wealth. People, as they become richer, realize the attractive taste of having lots of money and properties. Thus, they don't stop having passion toward earning more money and invest huge amount of their accumulated wealth in stocks and real estates. As my personal experience, my uncle who had been a CEO for a company is the richest man I have ever known. I know he worked so hard to earn money. So,in his age of 63, his wife thinks he should take some time to enjoy his life and halt the work because he has enough for the rest of his and his family's lives. But he still invests lots of money in real estate and everyday he wakes up and thinks how to become more richer. If he knows how to appreciate his present life, would he do such works in the age of 60th?
On top of that, human beings obtain a tendency to get easily bored of what they have. As a baby gets a toy from his or her parents, he will be anxious to play with it. But ,as time passes by, even after few days the baby would get bored of it and ask for an another toy. And lenient parents usually buy him another one to keep him in happy mood. This illustration is well depicting that how we are educated not to satisfy and appreciate of the present situation and life. It's just obvious what babies like him in the story will do when they grow up. They will even be so eager to have new and novel things. I hope they don't get bored seeing their own faces.
In summary, people are not capable of being satisfied with what they presently own because of the tendency of wanting more goods as they become richer and the childhood education taught by their parents. I hope they would get saved to be free of meterialism and spend more time loving each other. |
