reading books about real events or people is more beneficial than reading fictional stories and novels. |
Throuout the history, books have played a important role in spreading cutting-edge knowleges or ideas of contemporary intellectures and enabled them to pass over those invaluable inherits onto the next generation. Still, millions of books covering a wide range of topics are being published all over the world. Among these myriad books, I prefer books about real events or people than fictional stories. First, books including real stuffs provide us more educational effects than fictional books. This kinds of books tell us the instructive stories of outstanding people who were really existed, such as Lincoln, Einstein and Decart, which suggest good references of one's life. We can learn various lessons from the written history of great people. In my own experience, When I was middle school student, I have read the story of Feynman, the physicist who made significant contribution to the modern physics. From the story of this great scientist, I've found that he could make important scientific theories by his insistent efforts and passions. In contrast, fictional stories and novels have several disadvantages. Since they are virtual stories which was constructed by authors, they could contain contents that are very different from the reality, which might provide readers misguided oullooks of our world. In addition, some of them only pursuit fun for commercial profits, from which we can learn nothing valuable. As mentioned above, books about real events or people provide us great benefits without any downside. on the contrary, fictions or novels can be harmful in the aspect that they contain uninstructive and unrealistic contents. so I prefer formers than laters. |
