Many people believe that success comes to hard working people. They think chances are for well prepared men. However, I think luck brings more success than deligence. This is because I saw many people who became rich from lottery or soared house price. Moreover, rich people's offspring usually more succeed in their lives than those who try hard with little support and money.
The first reason why I think hard working is not a only required component to succeed is that these days many people gain much more money with luck such as lottery and real estate. If I win a lottery I can get unimagenable money that I can't earn throughout my life. Luck is really important thing to succeed. To illustrate this point, I saw a TV show who earned a lot of money after digging her field. She was digging to reconstruct her field and farm next year. Fortunately, she found something antique matter, which was from her ancestor's ancestor. It was worth 30million dollars. She sold it to a lover of relics and got the money. This is why I think fortune is important for success.
Secondly, only hard working people are less likely to succeed in their lives than those who are rich. This is because rich people have more educational chances than poors. They enter expensive schools that offer better education system than others and have personal teachers to teach them who often require high money. And these lead to their high scores on a variety of exams and contests, which allow them to enter renowned universities. I know a girl named Staphany, whose father is a famous doctor in Seoul. Her parents raised her in the United States until she was 16. She went to high school in Korea and she was top at her school. Also, she got high scores on toefl, sat, and ect. As you guess, she got admissions from many popular colleges and she entered Columbia university. I think Staphny's story is a good example that hardworking and diligence are not all things to succeed.
In conclusion, although hardworking is important, their are many other things for success like luck and rich parents. I think a woman who earned 30million dollars at one night and Staphany, a girl who entered Columbia were good examples to convince you.
