All universities should require students to take science subject even though their major has no relevance with this field. Do you agree or disagree? Explain why and give examples. |
Some people argue that they don’t have to attend some classes which are not related to their specific major. Especially science subjects are blamed for that. They insist it is waste of time and better to concentrate on their major. However, in my opinion, science is not an tedious and inconsequential thing but it is something need to be more fortified through education. It is largely because it is all around us and helps foster creativity.
Firstly, everything we enjoy is all about the science. There is no subject more closely related to day to day affairs than science. Everything we see and feel is mostly attributed to the development of the science. Thus, the more we learn the science, the more we can grasp the principles of things behind them. Finally, we could adapt those things into real-time situation. For example, the things that I learned at middle school are still useful to me significantly. The fact that volume of the air expands allowed me to recover distorted tennis-table balls. Secondly, learning science allows us to foster how to think creatively. Science is a study that has been developed by revolutionary creative thoughts of numerous scientists. In the course of learning science, we could realize how scientists came to conclusion and naturally acquire the way they think in sort of. There is a research that the experiments that science subjects afford are the best way to develop creativity; even more than reading a book. In short, it is definite that the idea of excluding science course from requirement courses is not only short-sighted but also flawed. Science has been the core of all the developments of the world throughout the history. In conclusion, there is no reason to abandon this course which teaches how to look something differently and adaptable to nuts and bolts of our daily life. |
