It is better for governments to spend their funds on the exploration of outer space than on earthly matters. |
Today, some affluent countries are exploring outer planets such as Mars, Venus. They are increasing their budget to astronautic fields. However, I think that paying exponential budget to that field is not proper considering current situation which many countries are facing. The reason why I am against space exploring policy is it not urgent, not certain that it will succeed.
To start with, earthly matters are much more urgent than space exploration. The whole world are facing environmental pollution, faminine, children mortality. It could not be solved immediately. We have to assist financially for that manners. Seeing african poor kids who could not eat even a meal a day, space exploration is totally unnessesary.
Secondly, scientific experiment has not been fully completed yet. Someone think that exploration of other planets would be beneficial because Armstrong stepped his feet on the moon. However, if we see more detail, we will know there was many failures before his achievement. Although technology of NASA has developed, as the outer space have many arbitary factors such as sudden climite change, meteor shower, it is hard to verify that it will be fully successful
Lastly, there will be another type of conflict over dominating space. It will be a problem of far future. However we could not ignore the speculation of space war as we are seeing that most of the countries are exploring earth for the purpose of observing all world for possible war. For example, we may confront the way which was portrayed on the movie Star Wars.
Aforementioned, we are facing challenging matters. The world ought to be together for solution. For military power, paying tremendous budget to astronautic fields which have possible serious failure is not necessary. We have to consider priorities. Thus I disagree opinion that it is better for governments to spend their funds on the exploration of outer space than on earthly manners. |
