Topic: ‘when people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success.’ Do you agree or disagree? |
There is a saying, ‘no pain, and no gain.’ This saying sounds reasonable, because any success cannot be made without any effort. However, I cannot agree with the statement that luck has nothing to do with a success; not always efforts guarantee the success, and success is not such a simple one that anyone can achieve with a mere effort. Firstly, not always mere efforts assure the success. To expatiate, success is usually achieved when your hard working meets with the luck. And, this luck is mostly given to the people who prepared for the success diligently. Therefore, luck applies as a bridge in our life, which connects your flat-out effort with a success. Thomas Edison, who was a genius inventor, once said that, “Success consists of 99 percents of perspiration and 1 percent of inspiration.’ As this saying has shown, inspiration affects to our success, which is dim but definite. On top of that, success is not such an easy thing that anyone can easily obtain with mere effort. If so, every people in our world should be satisfied with his or her life, and this world must have been a Utopia, an ideal world. However, life is unfair. This is because; many variables and risks exist in our society. For example, compared to soccer, many soccer teams do their best before the game. Although they practiced and exercised strenuously, their every shot can hit the goal post and no shot can be made into goal. This situation is extremely common in soccer match. Thus, we need success in order to success. To sum what I mentioned above, it is undeniable true that luck influences to our success. Not always efforts ensure our success. Moreover, sometimes misfortune interfere your success regardless of your effort. Therefore, I strongly oppose with an idea that luck has nothing to do with the a success. |
