high school students should be allowed to choose subject which they want to study. |
There is an argument over whether high school students should be allowed to choose subject which they would like to study. Personally, I strongly agree with the following reasons. First, students would be good at their majors in future. Moreover, it is efficient to study. To start with, students would be ready for what they are going to study. Nowadays, there are many students who study some subjects that would be nothing for their future life. Let me take my case as an example. I am high school student. I hate natural science; I mean I do not like biology, chemistry, earth science, and so on. I want to be an hotelier so I cannot find any relationship between natural science and hotel management. However, I must take some of science classes for graduating high school. If I learn some of management or social science, I believe that it is going to be very helpful to me in my campus life. Second, it could be motivation for students to study. Mostly, people can do something effectively if that is what they want to do. So do high school students. If they truly want to study what is their goal, it is going to be much more efficient than studying what they have no interest. For instance, my father always takes his experience in high school. He mentioned that he always wanted to be a car engineer. Therefore, he withdrew from high school and studied for engineer. Eventually, he could get a job with Hyundai Motor. His experience made me think like studying what they want is the best way. In conclusion, high school students should study subjects what they want. First, they are going to be good at their major and career. Furthermore, choosing subject is more efficient than study all subjects. Therefore, it is quite obvious that high school student can learn effectively and easily when they study what they want. |
