Do you agree or disagree? It is more important to have a job you like than to have a job that earns you a higher salary. |
시간은 무제한이었음.. --;; What comes to mind when you think of jobs? Doctors, lawyers, entertainers, and teachers? Most of us probably choose jobs by a standard whether we like and whether we could earn a high salary. A substantial number of people may insist that how much we could get money is the most important consideration of choosing jobs. However, contrary to the popular trend, I believe whether we really desire is a much more decisive point than anything else. More than anything else, having jobs that are well fitted in one’s aptitude will have to provide companies with good profits. Seen in this regard, if people get jobs they love, companies employing them would yield raised gains. In most cases, firms that do not perceive this advantage of doing so would have difficulty in achieving the success in present competitive societies. For example, one of Korea-based global companies Samsung Electronics had changed into a very successful firm after altering its employment policy. A survey published by “Korea National Development Institute” shows that the key to such accomplishment is the very change of its human resource management policies. Doing things as our job tasks that we love contributes to making our lives very happy. In other words, getting a job you love could provide us with more chances to promote the feeling of satisfaction. The emotion is the most important point for happy life. As The Economist went to press on November 5, compared those who did not select their job that they love but that they can earn a high salary to those who chose jobs they like, the latter became much more satisfied. Of course, choosing jobs on a salary basis is not always valueless in terms of psychological well-being. High salaries will allow employees to spend their leisure time without the restrictions of money, so that they may be able to feel satisfaction or happiness. Nevertheless, I would forgo such a way of selecting jobs because the difficulties from choosing jobs people do not love overwhelm the advantages from spending their pastime without limitations of money. |
