It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why? |
I hadn’t read a lot of books until I became 18 years old. I believed knowledge from my experience was everything. But, unfortunately, it has turned out I just knew about little part of world. After I realized books bring a lot of knowledge, reading a book became my habit. What I want to say here is that we can get much of knowledge from books. I am going to give two reasons in this writing. First of all, we can get a lot of knowledge from books without spending much time and money. What one person can get is limited by natural feature, such as time and money. All we can do is to live our lives. The solution to solve the limit problem is reading a book. There are other people’s experience, whether they have succeeded or failed, which you can learn from it. Second, experiencing something gives people a barrier. People would get a strong impression of the experience, after they experience. The impression could prevent people from thinking another way. Once they’ve got a imprint of something, they would think one thing happened to them is all. I think it is one of reasons why elder people make mistake. The stronger impression they have had, the more they would likely to stuck in their ideas. In conclusion, from reading other people’s experience, we could get lessons from them. I believe that is more efficient. We need to take stories as role model. Then, when we face a problem, we would be able to go through the hardship. |
