In the recent days, many parents worry about the effects of games on children physically or emotionally. However, in my view, while media games using computers and television have negative impacts on children, outdoor games would be positive influence on them. These kinds of games can be rather one type of educations to teach a sense of cooperation and a right competitive conscious to young students.
First of all, games in a class or outside enable participants to develop a sense of cooperation. This is mainly because most outdoor games are orgarnized by several teams and thus the members in one team would feel them one. While the process of a game, children can learn how important each members are and what is teamwork. From my experience, when I was student in elementary school, I was supposed to take part in a physical festival every years in fall season. In this time, all students in my school were separated in two teams; blue and white. During the festival, all members in one team should be a unity to drive the team to win and in order to do, we had to understand each other's fault and be taught a way of thinking to cooperate.
In addition, the outdoor games give lessons to instruct a good sense of competition. As children are growing up, they get to face a various challenge to require the severe competition such as exams. Moreover, when they reach the real world, the fierce competition appear to be sure; getting a job and making a profit. Therefore, young students should experience diverse kinds of games to educate a way to compete with rivals in a right way. As I mentioned before, almost outdoor games are divided two or several team to do a game and teams make every effort to be winner in a game. Also, if there are some rules or regulations to restrict participants to cheat partner team, they learn themselves stright conscious to compete.
In summary, wheres computer games are violent and sensational to young students, as far as the sound outdoor games are concerned, these kinds of entertainments can be valuable lessons for participants to feel cooperative and positive competitive. For these reasons, I believe strongly that the games to divide several teams help young students implant social concepts for their future. |
