It is debatable whether the best way to make students be interested in a subject is to explain how it can be helpful outside school. This is an intriguing question because argument concerning this topic can be different relying on the individual perspective. In my opinion, however, I support that explaining how it can be helpful outside can not be the best way to make students be interested in a subject for the following reasons.
First, we should not do this to avoid adding pressure to their mind. Suppose that your mother says that math is the most important subject to succeed though you never interested in it. Would it be possible that you right away go to the desk and study hard? It is highly doubtful. This advices might be regarded as nagging for them. In addition, they can be even lost remain attention. For example. When I was a high school students, I did not like music class because I had not to remember a sheets and it was very difficult to me. Although, music teacher always emphasized that performing instruments is very important to develop memory skill and artistic knowledge. However, It was likely to meaningless to me and became stress. Because it was not the present situation and I think it was not relevant to me.
Second, other ways are more efficient. To explain, using various activities to make students be interested in a subject is more useful. In the past, the students only studying using text book, now it is different. In this world, there are so many things that can catch the student's eyes such as media materials. By utilizing many sources, you can attract student's interest. To illustrate, Steve jobs, who is the founder of Apple, made great accomplishments in his lifetime. I read online that he was very successful but he was no interested in IT field at the first time. However, by watching a lecture concerning IT, he was fascinated in the IT field.
All things considered, I firmly believe that explaining how it can be helpful outside can not be the best way to make students be interested in a subject. It is my belief that my argument has been effectively and precisely delivered with reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that this issue may have a huge effect on our future.
