In the reading passage, there is ample support for the author’s claim that the consensus that the Etruscans derived from Turkey is rising. However, the professor in the lecture gives several reasons as a rebuttal to the author’s point. The lecturer argues that the evidence from DNA is hard to be believed. The reason is that DNA has been damaged because it has been a very long time since they died. Also, DNA can be somewhat contaminated. This contradicts the reading passage’s claim that the evidence that Etruscans have Turkish roots is discovered by DNA of the Etruscans. The professor points out that similar language do not determine whether the Etruscans came from Turkey. This is because similarities of alphabet between the Etruscans and Turkey do not represent they were the same family. This opposes the reading passage’s claim that the Etruscans’ language depicts that they derived from Turkey. The lecturer claims that there is no reason assumes that the Etruscans followed Turkish funeral practices. The reason is that the Etruscans was just a successor in the local region. This refutes the reading passage’s claim that the Turks and the Etruscans shared similar funerary practices. 문법 오류는 크게 없는 편입니다. 어휘는 argue/point out등 다양하게 쓰려는 노력이 보이는 것 같아 너무 좋았습니다. template대로 맞게 작성하셔서 읽기에 좋았습니다. 다만 내용이 조금은 짧다는 느낌이 들었습니다 listening passage조금 더 자세하게 듣도록 하고 reading passage내용 보다 조금 더 디테일하게 작성해주시면 훨씬 더 좋은 레벨의 에세이가 나올 것 같다는 생각이 들었습니다. | |
