▶ Your Answer : There might be some people who believe that success depends entirely on one’s effort. However, I personally disagree with the above quotation for two subsequent reasons. First, there are many situations that luck has a great importance. Second, many scientific results are found by accident. To begin with, there are many people who become a rich of occupy jobs without efforts. For example, people who are born in rich or who win a public lottery can be a millionaire by luck. Although many bought lotteries, a probability of winning is too low. However, someone can achieve this fortune. These cases can not be explained by anything except luck. In addition, people who have bad luck might not be achieve their goals even they devote day and night because of their luck. (이 부분에 대해서는 설명이 부족합니다. 시간을 많이 들이는 것과 운의 상관관계가 빈약하기 때문입니다!) Secondly, accidents already become a force to be reckoned with in science. I know some scientific discoveries come about after painstaking. But frequently, some lucky accident leads to a transformative finding. For example, a penicillin, the microwave, x-rays, radioactivity, and velcro are all incidental discoveries.
In conclusion, luck is a very important factor to succeed because there are many people who succeed easily through winning lotteries or born in rich. And also, there have been many cases of researchers and inventors making major breakthroughs while they were actually trying to solve another problem or create a different device. In this regard, I firmly believe that luck plays an important role in someone’s success. |
