People are incapable of being satisfied with what they have; they always want what they don't have. |
There are many people who don’t satisfy with their achievements and want furthermore things which they don’t have yet. I most certainly agree with the opinion, “people are incapable of being satisfied with what they have; they always want what they don’t have.” The human nature and commercialism validate my assertion.
To begin with, according to human nature, even though they have something previously, they tend to pursue the higher value than which of theirs. It is not only for the things which are material but also the mental. That is, even though they achieved and possessed something, if they discovered the new and better one, they pursue that one. For example, I bought an IPod in 1 year ago. However, when I saw the commercial film which is related to the new generation of IPod, I was very fascinated because it looked cool and sophisticated. Though my 1 year old IPod worked well I bought new generation of IPod 2 months ago. In this respect, the instinctive pursuit of greed toward the new and better things made me purchase the new IPod.
In addition, there are many people who try to achieve furthermore things beyond what they did already. It means they want to broaden their deed by doning what they have't done. For instance, many musicians who achieved their fame and financial success, tried to broaden their stage and tried to run their own company. In the case of Jennifer Lopez, who is actress and singer, with her fame and her capital, she launched her own clothing company, and even, she launched the perfume company. And now, her jobs are gone on at the same time. This shows that she didn’t satisfied with her achievements on her original field, as a singer. And she tried to achieve other things which she hasn't ever did.
To sum up, I sincerely believe that people always want what they do not have. The main reason is that human beings are innately want to pursue the better things. On top of that, human beings want to try to achieve furthermore things which are in and out of their deed. |
