고등교육은 잘난 학생에게만? |
Most people consider education as one of the most important policies because education can determine the future of one nation. Thus, they are interested in the education policies. Especially, whether higher education should be available only to good student is really sharp conflict. In my opinion, only talented students receive higher education because only good students can understand the contents of higher education and these students can finally lead others’ happiness. First of all, only smart students are appropriate enough to receive higher education. Higher education deals with specified and difficult knowledge unlike compulsory education. Thus, academically poor students cannot keep up with curriculum. It means poor students waste their time that they can invest in other studies such as learning practical skills and experiencing valuable things. For example, Charles Darwin forced to enter University for studying ethics, but he could not follow the curriculum because it was difficult and bored. This higher education did not help his development. On contrary, through his journey after leaving the university, he could design evolution theory, and achieve his fame. In other word, higher education motivates even poor students to participate in proper programs for themselves. In addition, chosen students for higher education finally create the result for the majority including others who do not take it. Higher education available on limited students encourages the educational resources to concentrate on these students. Then, these students can create better results than other ordinary students. That is, it is more effective. Really, China has selected gifted students, and has provided them with the best educational environment. As a result, the students have succeeded and these successes have promoted the development of China. We can say that their achievements finally have upgraded the quality of ordinary Chinese as well as themselves. To sum up, this education results in the overall development. In conclusion, only academically gifted student should receive higher education for the reasons that I have mentioned above. It seems not to guarantee the equity for education, but consequently, it helps to develop both good and not good students. |
