Some people prefer to get up early in the morning and start the day’s work. Other people prefer to get up later in the day and work until late at night. Which do you prefer? |
The time schedule for a day is very important in that it eventually determines one’s health and social relation. One crucial factor for the scheduling is the time when one start the day. In my opinion, it brings several advantages to get up early in the morning and work during daytime, in comparison to an owl-like life. I believe the use of morning time other than sleeping gives physical and social health. Humans are naturally set to work under the daylight. This is how our circadian rhythm functions. With rising of the sun, our body temperature goes up to become conscious. It is commonly know to physiologists that brain maximizes its ability to concentrate and become even more creative. This character is in deep connection with the amount of light one is exposed to. At night, however, sleep-inducing hormones such as melatonin are released, and our body calls for rest and sleep. Additionally, behaving against such natural rhythm may result in serious problem on body and mind such as sluggishness or anxiety. For this reason, we have to be awake in accordance with sun light. Moreover, since most of people prefer daytime activity, we should keep our steps with them in order to socialize. One of my friends gives a good illustration. He loves morning sleeping so much that he usually wakes up at noon. He has lunch alone, and then goes to classes, all of which is fortunately scheduled afternoon. After having dinner with mates, he tries to do his hobbies. However, he often finds it difficult to keep in contact with friends other than classmates because most of his friends tend to take a rest or sleep while he is the most active in a day. Therefore, he feels lonely. Even if he wants to dance listening to music, he has to do it very quietly. A different time schedule made it difficult for him to do what he wants. In conclusion, I definitely prefer to wake up in the early morning. This practice is to follow the nature’s law and to make good living in a society. We have to keep in mind that every society encourages, for thousands of years, to be diligent by starting the day’s job when the dawn comes. |
