Most experiences in our lives that seemed difficult at the time become valuable lessons for the future. |
고수님들 제 꺼 좀 봐주세요. 이 글 쓰면서 1인칭으로 썼는데 이래도 될라나 몰라요. 너무 개인적으로 쓰면 설득력이 떨어져서 안 좋지 않으려나 몰라요
I do not think there is no one with no worry or no difficulty in one’s life. Mine has been so as well. There have been many difficulties and hardships I have had to face even though I tried to dodge or parry some of them. Though my life has not been long enough to contemplate much on the past, it seemed that those experiences that seemed difficult has strengthened me, preparing myself for something more difficult. First of all, I should admit that I was grown up with difficulties. Those difficulties have made me progress toward becoming one I pursue to be. As students, I had much hard time. I do not claim that I was the only one who had such hard time. Every student has such hard times as I did. I had to get up early and stay in classrooms fighting against sleep. I had so many problems to solve, though it seemed to me that it would take such a long time before I can fully understand and solve those problems. However, I appreciate those times. Because, by challenging myself to understand and solve those problems, I could graduate my high school as a student with a somewhat successful result. I was able to go to the college I had wanted to go for a long time. Another hard time I had was when I was in mandatory military service. I think I earned nothing from the service. Though I abhor the time, I should say that I became healthier and more tolerating with the physical and mental hardship. My mind set has changed ever since. I used to think that I could not go on beyond a certain point. However, now I think that I can do anything if I am determined. In addition, those difficult experiences prepare us for the experiences that are as hard or harder. Though it is hard to face difficulties for the first time, it will be much easier to face as hard an experience since we know the way or at least the pattern of the difficulties. Through difficult experiences, we can learn to be wiser than we have been by finding out the solution to avoid or face and solve the difficulties. My father passed away nine years ago. Since he was the head of my family, it was such a difficulty that my family staggered in panic for a while. Pragmatically, there became nobody who would earn money for our needs. However, we became aware of our position and found out the way to manage the family finance. I could earn money for my college tuition and my older brother and sister got a job. Though I do not want, if my mother passes away who are mainly in charge of my family finance now, I think my siblings and I can manage better. In this way difficulties teach us to prepare for the next difficulty. The experiences in our lives that seemed difficult may seem that they are there to torture us. However, overcoming them would greatly help us become stronger in managing our lives. They also help us prepare for the next difficulties and somewhat immune to the next ones. |
