We can see many people who succeeded in their life. There seems no doubt that they did hard work for their success. But, I think that the hard work cannot be the only factor for their successes. Rather, I think the lucks have something to do with their successes because a person is vulnerable to diseases and natural disaster and no individual cannot be perfect.
First, no one can be beyond of the human’s mortality because a person is more living thing than a human with willingness to his goal. Fatal diseases and natural disasters cannot be controlled by people. Accidents happen without expectations and diseases could develop gradually without any symptoms. If succeeded people had had diseases or met disasters they might not succeed now like what they have achieved. Otherwise, people who experienced diseases or disasters could have succeeded more than what they are now.
Also, a person cannot be perfect by himself. Nobody can grow up to the person society needs without other peoples’ helps. Everybody has just potentiality which needs to be taken care of by others like parents and teachers to be exerted as his own ability. So, having good parents, teachers or other people who give crucial helps for life is essential for success, which is luck. I have read many articles that show many succeeded people attribute their success to other people. They said that without their help, they could not be what they are now.
In conclusion, I would be opposed to the statement saying “Luck is nothing to do with success”. Hard work could be one of factors for success. But it cannot be sufficient for the success since people cannot have control over diseases and disasters that are lethal to them and they need others’ help to achieve their goals. Considering that seeing many people are suffering from disease and disasters, it is a good luck to be in a good health without encountering any disaster, furthermore, get with good people. |
