Which one is the most important when choosing the university? : 1)Cost, 2)Size, 3)Location [35분;;;;] |
There is an ongoing debate on which choice is the most important option for prospective college students to consider: cost, size of the university, and location. In my opinion, there is nothing more important than location. The closer home is to college, the better students can gain advantages in many aspects such as time, cost and distance. The reasoning behind this is that deciding the location entails the following two elements: time and surroundings More than anything else, time is the most precious one in life. If we go to a university which is close to our home, we don’t need to concern about managing time. Instead of worrying about time, we can do something useful such as doing assignment, playing sports, and spending time with friend and family. In my experience, when I was a freshman, my college was located in another city. The distance between my city and the city was so long that I couldn’t concentrate on studying, but just spent about one-third of a day commuting. As a result, I could not get enough grades from curriculum. Judging from my experience, I believe that we have to concern about time when it comes to choosing location of university. Next, we have to consider about surroundings we expect around campus. If someone prefer being in downtown of a city, he or she has to decide to a university that is located in the center of a city. On the other hand, some might like to be in serene places like rural areas because of the fact that they can be calm enough that they can focus on studying better. For example, I tend to prefer to be in quiet places, but unfortunately my college was in the center of Seoul, which is the capital of South Korea. The ceaseless noises from streets around my college kept distracting me from whatever I tried to do. In this respect, I firmly assert that we need to take our taste of atmosphere around campus into account. To sum up, I strongly argue that the location must be considered first before we think about other elements. The rationale behind of this is that we can save significant amount time by choosing a university close to home. Additionally, the atmosphere around the campus can fit into our tastes. |
