아이들의 performance를 보고 선생님들한테 돈을 준다 agree/disagree |
There is an ongoing debate on whether teachers should be paid dependent on their performance. Some people might say that it is not the best way that schools rank teachers with their ability since the situation seems too cynical. In opposition to this point, I strongly argue that teachers should get paid in accordance with how well they teach their students. The reasoning behind is that this policy will encourage teachers to work harder. Additionally, students can get ready for the future. ` More than anything else, teachers should focus on how well they can inform students of knowledge and wisdom that the teachers have. In order to get paid well, they will try to figure out the ways of good teaching skills. If the wage in school is consistent regardless of how well they perform, they will lose passion toward their responsibility and keep asking themselves why they should work hard instead of the time that they could be enjoying their life with friends and family. This situation may lead them to just killing time at school. Next, children can get teachers’ knowledge more easily in that teachers make huge effort on making their knowledge more digestible. In this respect, students make significant progresses on their grades and get ready to become successful individuals in society. In my experience, as a high school student, there was a math teacher who had a good reputation on teaching in my city, and I decided to take the class that the teacher taught. Now, because of having taken such a good class, I have sound math skills that make me understand math problems with little effort. To sum up what I have said, no doubt the wage of teachers should be assessed by their performance. The rationale behind this is that they can maintain their passion about teaching. In addition, students can learn what their teachers inform them of easily. |
