▶ Your Answer : These
days, many students have confusion about between elders and peers from whom
should they get advice. Some thinks they should get advice from their peers.
However, in my opinion, getting advice from older adults is better than getting
advice from peers. For the following subsequent two reasons.
First
and foremost, older adults are able to give better advice from their
experiences. They lived longer than students and experienced a lot of different
situation such as failure, loss, or other difficulties. My own experience is a
compelling example of this. When I was grade 10, I failed the test that was the
final grading for that year. I was so upset and sad because I studied really
hard without hanging out with my friends, watching my favorite TV shows, and
even sleeping. I asked mother for advice and my mother gave me an advice that I
have a more chance to do it well on the test so forget the past and focus on
today. I thought it was a great thing that I asked mother an advice.
Secondly,
adults are more mature than peers. As I mentioned before, adults lived longer
than peers. So they can understand students well with mature mind and can give
better advice from their heart. Student will accept readily their advice.
Following anecdote strongly supports the idea. When I was young, I was not mature
enough to understand my friends’ worry or their stories. Also, I did not know
how to advice to them. However, as I grow older, I could feel that I was
getting mature, and I can have sympathy to others.
In
conclusion, I strongly believe that getting advice from older adults is better
than getting advice from peers. This is because adults can advice with their
experiences. Also, they are more mature than peers.
