Decisions can be made quickly, or they can be made after careful thought. Read and think about the following statement: The decisions that people make quickly are always wrong. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Use reason and examples to support your opinion |
At first glance, it seems that the quick decision always results in bad consequences. However, my opinion is that deciding quickly makes better results than the decision after the careful thought, since there are many areas where the prompt decision is necessary in order to engender good results. To begin with, we should make a decision promptly for obtaining good results in some areas where timing is important. To be specific, we usually lose the chances and suffer from loss if we hesitate to make a decision. For example, in the stock market, we should make up our mind promptly in order to obtain profit. If we delay to invest money due to careful thought, we usually lose appropriate chances for selling and buying stock. Therefore, the prompt decision is sometimes necessary in order to obtain desirable results. Additionally, it sometimes makes us confused to think too carefully, which results in hampering good decisions. In other words, considering from too various points sometimes hinders us to set the principles in decision. For example, it is very difficult to fix our ways to advance. Therefore, we consider many possibilities and cases when we decide our ways to advance. However, considering too much makes us confused and sometime makes it impossible to decide our ways. In that case, it is better to decide simply and quickly after we set a principle quickly. Therefore, making decision quickly is better and does not always results in the wrong results. In sum, I disagree with the opinion that the decisions that people make quickly are always wrong. When we decide quickly, we sometimes obtain better results than when we decide after careful thought. Moreover, the prompt decision usually keeps us from the confusion in making a decision. |
