▶ Topic :To be financially responsible adult,
children should manage their own money at a young age.
People who grew up from diverse environment
would certainly maintain various understanding towards handling finance. While
a sizable number of populace might claim that children should administer their
own cash to be a financially responsible adult, without shadow of doubt, such
notion needs to be seriously reconsidered. There are several reasons that could
validate this.
First and the foremost reason would be that
it is better to make errors in managing money when they are still at young age.
It is not an overstatement to say that every human beings make mistakes
throughout their life, especially when they are new to experience things. This
can be best explained with a personal example of my friend named John who is
having some difficulties in his finance. John did not control his pocket money
properly when he was in high school, so he was always short of money, which was
not an issue with him since he could ask his dad for more. However, he does not
live in the same circumstance as he was at young age. His spending habit is
very poor as expected, but this time his dad cannot help him like before.
Nevertheless, John is learning from his errors and start to reduce his
expenditure. It is not hard to conceive that if he learnt these errors when he
was a child, he could have become more financially responsible adult.
In addition, it is much easier to make a
financial habit in the childhood than the adulthood. It can be said that a person
with an excellent habit of managing money is more financially responsible
adult. Once a child become an adult, one has to deal with numerous issues like
jobs, marriage, family, socializing, raising children and so on and so on.
Despite the fact that money is very important subject to be handled, people
tend not to focus on this specific matter by saying that they have got more
vital issues to be resolved. On the other hand, children do not have as much
pressure as adults have and have much more free time to learn financial habit.
This habit would make one a better financially responsible person once they
mature.
From the above assessments, the fact that
learning how to manage their own money at young age seems far more convincing
reason for becoming a financially responsible adult. This is not only due to
the fact that it is better to learn their financial mistakes at the young age,
but also it is harder to learn financial habit in the adulthood.
