▶ Your Answer : Recently, large factories and companies have substantial influence on communities. There are advantages and disadvantages for this. However, I believe there are more disadvantages than advantages by building a large factory near my community. Thus, I oppose the factory. To begin with, by building a large factory, many people could have an opportunity to work there. In South Korea, where I was born in, unemployment is a severe problem, and many people have a hard time finding their job. However, if a large factory will be built near my community, it would be able to reduce unemployment rate, and the economy is going well. Furthermore, facilities or amenities such as gyms or restaurants around the factory would spring up everywhere. It can be able to improve the quality of community.
Of course, there are several disadvantages for a large factory. First of all, the environmental problem gets worse. For example, in my community, the fine dust have a bad impact on people. People rarely go outside and play sports because of fine dust. If a large factory will be built in my community, the problem will be exacerbated, and the quality of lives would drop. Especially, it is very hard to fix the environmental problem once it gets worse. Furthermore, a large factory can damage to small businesses that are very vulnerable. It is probable for them to be bankrupt some times. Rather, this can rise up unemployment.
Everything has strengths and weaknesses, so we should consider carefully ahead of it. Not only a large factory can improve the economy of our community, and but also it can cause a bad impact on our environment and small businesses. What I want to say is that the disadvantages from a large factory could cause serious problems that we cannot restore. Therefore, I oppose the factory for my community.
