▶ Your Answer : Some people think that the government should offer
financially to artists. However, I disagree with the idea that the government
should spend money on supporting artists for the following reasons. First, the
government does not have enough money to support them. Second, artists already are
offered financially by others.
First of all, there is no money for
governments to spend on impractical things. What this means is that government
revenue comes from the people’s taxes, so governments should prioritize where
to spend the money wisely. There are important issues such as health, the
environment, and education that need more government funding. According to a
recent survey done by JYP institute of education, there are many urgent and
critical problems that are still waiting for government fending. We need more
hospitals and schools as well as protecting the wild animals that are being
perished all around the world, but the current funding is inadequate to meet
all the needs especially in this tough economic time. This clearly shows that the government should not support impractical things due to the lack of money.
Governments are not responsible for
supporting the arts. T be specific, artists are already well supported by other
places such as art college and private companies. Thus, the government does not need
to be an additional supporter especially if it has no practical use. Let me
bring up my personal story as an example. I work as an artist at a large
entertainer company. My job is to come up with innovative ideas and design
characters to release in the game. Most of my ideas and sample characters will
never be released, but I continue to design and make them because I’m getting
paid for it by the company. Once they decide on a product and start selling it
they will make a lot of money so they don’t worry about investments. Hence,
there is absolutely no need for extra funding from the government for my work.
In
conclusion, the government does not have enough money to assist financially. Also, the government should not take responsibility for supporting artists because other
places do it. In this regard, I strongly insist that the government should not
supply artists with money. |
