It is debatable whether saving money is always better than spending money in an instant period or not. This is an interesting question because the opinions concerning this issue can be different depending on the individual perspectives. However, in my opinion, I agree with the statement for two reasons.
To begin with, people can use saved money for an emergency. To explain specifically, if people do not keep money, they are less likely to solve the problem which requires finance rapidly. Thus, the situation can be more exacerbated. There is my family's experience as an example. When my grandmother was ninety years old, she frequently went to the hospital for the radioactive treatment because of cancer. Suddenly, a doctor said she needed surgery due to the illness. After a week, she was operated even though it requires large financial support. The reason how our family was able to deal with was my mother had been saved money since 10 years before.
On top of that, people can use less money. To be specific, when people spend their money right away, they tend to buy several goods which do not actually need right now. In contrast, people can think at least one more time when they try to use the money they saved. For instance, there is a survey conducted by Times Economy Center with 200 people who had started saving their money before five months as respondents. The purpose was to understand whether they spend less finance than before. Undoubtedly, 90% of respondents gave a positive reaction. Since, the number that people purchase without consideration decreased.
To sum up, people can handle urgent situations easily. Moreover, less money will be spent by people. In this regard, I strongly agree with the idea that
