It is debatable that whether not telling a lie is the most important factor when people have a conversation, because pursuing a truth is one of the most cherished values for human beings. I think that being a morally immaculate person when talking is a meaningful bid, but at times not being such a person will much more reinforce a rapport between people.
Consider a situation where all people turn into a kind of the no-nonsense person. when they are greeting, they will say like this. one questions. "How are you today?" the other answers. "Awful, because the conditions of my body are not in a state of zenith and you must be known the fact, because your conditions are undoubtly in a imperfect state. Why are you teasing me?"
These conversations may be the inevitable result when people pursue only the truth, because we human beings usually suffer from a welter of stresses from their daily lives, incurring a variety of negative emotions which could be the cause of strifes between people.
In lieu of telling nothing but the truth, adding some kinds of white lies in their conversations can lubricate relationships between people. In a society where all people become a generous person for a modicum of white lies when communicating, that preposterous situation will not happen, because witty pleasantries will supersede all the awkward remarks. This will prevent people from having altercations, contributing positive rapports for their relationship. As moral philosopher Mill put it, the importance of act would rather be judged by the gains which are resulted from the act.
Being a man of integrity when someone have a conversation is an important virtue, because the relationship is based on trust. But being always that type of person is not a desirable judgement, because In doing so he or she may incur adverse effects for their rapport. Therefore, having a morally-flexible mind is much more valuable than sticking the psyche of a non-negotiable person.
