▶ Your Answer :
An intriguing topic of discussion at hand is whether hasty
decisions are never the right ones. It might be true because people cannot have
enough time to contemplate on the important issues regarding the decision.
However, I personally support the idea that hasty decisions sometimes turn out
to be the best choice when evaluating them with their results. First, there are
numerous possibilities one cannot imagine when he or she is making a decision. Secondly,
the decision-making process is time consuming
and painful.
First of all, since people cannot analyze all the possible
factors that might affect the results, it is better to choose whatever they
want. In other words, unexpected events
or sudden changes of situation always happen and whether people have enough time
or not, they cannot expect those happenings. For instance, when I went backpacking
to Europe in 2014, I met strangers at a guesthouse in Paris. They were about to
go to the bar and asked me if I were coming. Since I was very tired and had another event going on the next day, it was much
rational to be absent from the party. But I made a decision to go on the spur
of the moment, and I had the best time ever and met very great friends. If I didn’t
participate because I did not like to make a hasty decision, I would not have enjoyed the greatest time in Europe.
On top of that, people should spend their enormous time and energy
on the process of decision making. Thus, rather than wasting their time and
energy, it is much better to begin the work and put all of their efforts in order to make thing happen. For
example, I have a friend who always makes beautiful time plans for the final project. If he has not completed
preparing schedule and environment, he never starts studying and even he takes
a rest because he feels tired from this process. As a result, he always runs
out of time in completing the plan and I have never seen him do everything he
has planned. Before the final project of last semester, I gave him the advice to start studying with a vague
schedule. Accepted the advice, He started studying much earlier and he could do
his best on studying. As a consequence, he got a much higher grade in the final compared to the last semester.
In a nutshell, although whether hasty decisions could be the
right one is open to interpretations, it seems reasonable to claim that it is
better to start whatever they think best at the moment because of the two reasons discussed in this essay. |
