There might be some people who claim that high schools and universities are supposed to teach general subjects rather than particular fields and jobs. However, I disagree with this statement for the following two reasons.
To begin with, students can be more competitive in future job market. General subjects are not helpful for people to find an appealing job. Also, according to a survey conducted by University of California, up to 73 percent of university students eager to enter companies for their future career. Thus, these institutions should provide them some specialized knowledge (왜 specialized knowledge를 제공해야하는 지에대하여서 구체적으로 서술할 필요가 있습니다). For example, my sister was majoring in business. She focused on business studies instead of studying general subjects when she was at the university. After graduation, she found that she was much more competitive than others with regard to employment.
On top of that, it can prevent students from wasting time. Many students already have their specific goals and careers that they want to pursue in the future when they enter high schools and universities. Therefore, if schools require them to learn general subjects, it would waste their time, which could be used for them to prepare for what they want to do. For instance, my friend wanted to become a hair designer when she grows up. Hence, she decided to go to a college that offers professional skills for hair design. She did not have to study for general subjects in the school, so she could save time to dedicate to practicing her hair design skills.
To sum up, it will help students much easier to find jobs in the future society and save time to spend more time on their future careers. In this regard, I strongly believe that students should be taught specialized courses.
